the Role

As an Area Sales Manager
, you will own the commercial success of your territory. You’ll build strong relationships with surgeons, hospital executives, OR staff, and distribution partners while driving adoption of AKTORmed’s robotic platforms. This role blends consultative selling, clinical engagement, and strategic territory planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, clinical teams, and hospital decision‑makers
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and hands‑on training for clinical staff
  • Support surgical cases to ensure optimal use of AKTORmed systems
  • Identify new business opportunities, including competitive conversions and expansion within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical support, and leadership to drive regional growth
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation
  • Represent AKTORmed at conferences, workshops, and industry events
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in medical devices, ideally in surgical robotics, capital equipment, or minimally invasive surgery
  • Strong clinical aptitude and ability to support procedures in the OR
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals in a competitive environment
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory
