Counter Sales

Cregger Company, Inc., a family-owned wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies, is seeking a Counter Sales professional to support contractors and trade customers. In this role, you will greet and assist customers at the sales counter, identify product needs, provide basic technical guidance, and accurately process orders, returns, and quotes. You will coordinate with the warehouse for order fulfillment, maintain stocked and organized counter displays, and ensure accurate inventory transactions.

This position is on-site and fast paced, offering training, growth opportunities, and the chance to build long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist contractors and trade customers at the sales counter
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate plumbing, HVAC, and electrical products
• Accurately process orders, quotes, returns, and payments using point-of-sale and order entry systems
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Maintain organized, well-stocked, and clean counter and showroom areas
• Provide basic technical product information and refer complex issues to specialists when needed
• Support inventory control through accurate picks, counts, and stock rotation
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with repeat customers
• Follow all company safety, cash handling, and operational procedures
• Participate in training to expand product knowledge and sales skills
