Position SummaryThis position is a highly responsible technical research support role incumbent is responsible for assisting with the oversight and collection of data related to studies in forest ecosystem ecology, ecophysiology, ecohydrology, fire ecology, and biogeochemistry. Primary duties include: (1) measuring ecosystem processes and physiology in forest stands (e.g., tree water use, growth parameters, gas exchange, and soil sampling); (2) maintaining experimental treatments and field sites (herbicide application, brush cutting, etc.);
(3) fabricating and repairing sensors and measurement devices; and (4) coordinating and training technicians, students, and collaborating scientists.
