Duties and Responsibilities
  • Harvest fruit from various vegetable crops.
  • Extract seed from the harvested fruit.
  • Treat, clean, count, and package seed.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Percentage Of Time: 25% for harvesting;
Percentage Of Time: 50% for seed extraction and packaging.

Position Summary

This part-time position is needed to assist with vegetable curation. It involves harvesting fruit from various vegetable crops in the field and greenhouse, extracting seed from the harvested fruit, cleaning and packaging of seed, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Competencies:

Prefer experience working with plants or in agriculture.

Physical Demands

Work under hot conditions in the field and greenhouse. Lift 50 pounds. Work involves cleaning pepper seed – some of which are very pungent.
