Assist lead scientist and technician in the planting, data collection, and harvesting of peanut agronomy research plots. Specific duties include data collection, data entry, plot stake labeling, cleaning and filling sprayers, plot maintenance and plot photography. Many duties will be conducted in the early morning (6 am), so punctuality is needed.
Required and Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, CertificationEducation: High school diploma preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesSkills: Ability to collect data in field, good communication skills, ability to take direction, ability to work with others as well as individually. On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical DemandsWork outside in inclement weather when needed, lift up to 50 lbs, work with and around equipment and be pesticide friendly. Driving.
