Duties/Responsibilities
Measure and phenotype leaf samples, including basic leaf traits.
Organize, label, and properly store leaf and other plant samples.
Maintain accurate records of newly collected and processed samples.

Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary
- Seeking a motivated student to assist with leaf phenotyping and processing, organizing laboratory equipment and supplies, labeling and maintaining leaf samples, and keeping accurate records of sample collection and measurements. This position provides hands-on experience in forest genetics, tree physiology, and laboratory research.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
- Forestry or biology student
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- No prior experience is required. Students in Forestry, Plant Sciences, or related fields are preferred. Training will be provided.
Physical Demands
- The position involves a combination of sitting and standing while performing laboratory tasks, handling and organizing plant samples, and occasionally lifting materials weighing up to 8 lbs.
