Site Safety Health Officer

Actively seeking an SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) for a Construction project on Submarine Base, Kings Bay. The scope involves Electrical Upgrades to three buildings.

Assist in the overall supervision and administration of project safety, accident, and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This position is an on-site position with duties being required regardless of indoors, outdoors, or weather elements.

Duties:

• Conduct safety meetings to review past activities
• Planfor new or changed operations
• Review pertinent aspects of appropriate AHA (bytrade)
• Establish safe working procedures for anticipated hazards
• Provide pertinent Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) training and motivation.

Qualifications

SSHOs will have met the training, experience requirements identified in the EM 385-1-1.

Note :
Applicants must pass a background check for baseentry and possess, and be able to obtain prior to final hire, favorable suitability, and trustworthiness determination in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).Active Security Clearance is preferred but not required.

This job is a Direct-Hire, Full-Time position.

Candidates local to Kings Bay/Kingsland/St. Mary's area are preferred, but relocation and/or travel compensation can be entertained for qualified candidates.
