$57,560 - $77,876. Additional $6,000 hiring bonus paid in installments over 12 months.
Pay, Benefits & Perks- Full-time, permanent position with health, retirement, and paid leave.

- 12-hour shifts (7:45 to 7:45) – fixed days or nights.
- Includes weekends and holidays.
- Emergency‑response role—called in during community emergencies.
- Must pass background, physical fitness, and certification requirements.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education, training, and experience).
- U.S. Citizenship.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Current POST certification under the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Act.
- Ability to qualify and requalify with a service weapon twice a year after certification.
- GCIC Security & Awareness Training (completed within 10 days of hire).
- First Aid & CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire).
- Basic Jail Certification Course (within 6 months of hire).
- Transport Unit (Bus Driver):
Must have a Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement. - Field Section:
Complete the court or field training program within 3 months. - Jail Section:
Complete the jail training core modules within 2 months.
- At least 2 years of law‑enforcement related experience.
- Protect & Serve Your Community: Ensure the safety of inmates, coworkers, and the public in the jail or courthouse; step in during emergencies, de‑escalate tensions, and respond with calm and confidence; be a presence in the community—helping people, not just policing them.
- Maintain Safety & Order: Supervise up to 72 inmates with fairness and respect; conduct cell checks, respond to incidents, and handle inmate movement with care and professionalism; monitor security systems and enforce facility rules consistently.
- Enforce the Law & Support the Courts: Serve warrants, make arrests, and support courtroom operations; transport prisoners safely and securely between facilities or courtrooms; support judges and court staff with safety and order in high‑stakes environments.
- Stay Sharp, Stay Ready: Train in defensive tactics, de‑escalation, and life‑saving measures; learn to operate advanced systems and communication tools; stay up to date with certifications and qualifications—because excellence is part of the job.
