Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County seeks a Detention Officer to ensure security of the jail facility, manage inmate admissions, and uphold inmate welfare. The incumbent must remain vigilant and follow prescribed procedures at all times.
Shifts are 12 hours (days/nights) with weekend/holiday coverage; some overtime may be required. Required training includes GCIC Security, First Aid/CPR, and Basic Jail Certification; US citizenship and minimum age of 18 are mandatory.
