High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience

• Completion of Technical College HVAC Program.
• HVAC EPA Certification.

This position is responsible for manual work at an advanced or master journeyman level. The individual will conduct and manage the day-to-day work activities that involves installation, operation maintenance, modification, services and repair of HVAC chiller, heating, and air handling systems, equipment, fixtures, and other related electro‑mechanical systems in accordance with standard trade practices and applicable HVAC Industry Codes at the UGA Griffin Campus.

This position will have a high level of independence and collaborate with the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in making critical decisions that affect diagnosis to HVAC equipment such as compressors, condensers, heating boilers, cooling towers, pumps, variable speed drives (VFD), dehumidifiers, energy wheels, and other special equipment that impacts heating and cooling systems in buildings and greenhouses for the Griffin Campus.

Manage assignments made in the form of written and oral instructions and may be accompanied by sketches and blueprints, although most work results from inspection and troubleshooting.
