As an In-Home Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting of tech products such as home theater, computing, smart home, and networking devices. You will find the right solutions for customers’ lifestyles and technology needs through conversations and partner with Geek Squad Agents, service partners, retail employees, and supply chain employees to drive performance and meet Best Buy’s strategy and yearly initiatives.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling on lifestyle recommendations regarding products and services.
- Provide a variety of fulfillment duties including delivery, installation, integration, networking, and troubleshooting of consumer electronics devices.
- Take the lead on two‑person jobs and perform other work alone.
- Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, process paperwork and payment, provide feedback and training opportunities, and follow safety guidelines.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
- Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform the job effectively within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to lift weight up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation; up to 250 pounds as part of a team with support tools such as harnesses or lifts.
- Six months of experience in consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Six months of customer service experience.
- Six months of experience in installation, integration, and troubleshooting of advanced or complex consumer electronics products.
