Road Mechanic
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to avoid downtime. Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations. Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management. Work with a safety‑focused team.
Responsibilities- Preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC, and other equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical system issues.
- Work indoors or outdoors and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Adhere to safety protocols in fast‑paced environments.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
- 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas).
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.
- Must be able to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Flexible with changing priorities.
- Bilingual in Spanish or other languages may be required.
- Related experience may include shop mechanic, mechanic, technician, service foreman, service manager, shop manager, mechanic supervisor, technician supervisor, lead mechanic, lead technician, diesel technician, diesel mechanic, service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, hydraulic technician, hydraulic mechanic, ASE certified mechanic, IFPS certified technician.
Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Base Pay Range: $22.85 – $31.41 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.
