Job Description
Perform timely and quality HVAC system repairs to resolve customer complaints. Diagnose and recommend repairs of HVAC equipment and systems at customer facilities, providing accurate cost estimates. Work as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible, and expert service to every customer. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely resolution. Follow the Value‑Added Services Process by identifying opportunities for Preventative Maintenance Agreements, system upgrades, and generating customer recognition for needed additional repairs that lead to cost savings.
Direct, train, coach, and evaluate junior technicians to maximize the benefit from expense dollars. Maintain the highest service standards and communicate openly with Dispatcher and Service Manager to resolve customer issues. Recognize and act upon opportunities to drive revenue through the Value‑Added Services Program. Maintain truck stock inventory and ensure maintenance schedules align with company guidelines, including keeping the truck clean and tools in safe operating condition.
Complete all Break/Fix Technician training elements within required time frames. Communicate, read, understand, and apply written technical text. Have complete knowledge of all tools, equipment, and materials used in HVAC services. Work variable and flexible hours, including overtime and on‑call service. Handle stressful situations in a fast‑paced environment. Follow industry regulations for hazardous materials. Lift up to 75 lbs. Bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach, and climb frequently.
Access varying terrain levels. Preferred: accomplish tasks with little direction.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Full and comprehensive understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and systems, diagnostics and repair, and impact on customer service.
- Understanding of system application, utilizing in‑house or consultant skills where needed.
- Interpret and analyze assumptions to make accurate conclusions that affect customer loyalty.
- Comprehensive understanding of company capabilities.
- Awareness of new and emerging technologies and potential project applications.
5) years’ experience as a successful HVAC Service Technician.
