Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots a variety of electrical equipment and systems. Also conducts preventive and general maintenance.

• Serve as primary electrician for Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance department.
• Work with general maintenance mechanics completing preventive maintenance requirements as needed.
• Work with contractors (HVAC, electrical, construction) to help facilitate their work for our facility and interface with Savannah River Site contractors as needed on behalf of our facility.
• Ensure all work adheres to Savannah River Site DOE/NNSA standards. Make urgent or unplanned supplies purchases for repairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years experience.

• Electrical and high voltage experience and ability to provide general maintenance, construction, and HVAC support to Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance crew.
• Ability to work with electricity including voltages up to 480 volts.
• Ability to assist with general facility renovation and construction.
• Communication: clear speaking, writing, active listening, conveying information effectively.

Lift 50 lbs and work outside in various climate conditions.
