Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for all aspects of equipment maintenance at the facility, including installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Technicians perform work on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems, including CNC machines and machining centers and may perform work on forklifts and lifting devices or troubleshoot automotive issues as needed. This is a key position tasked with minimizing equipment downtime to support a 24x7 manufacturing operation.
Maintenance techs will work assigned shifts and may be in a periodic rotation for "on call" emergencies that occur during alternate shifts.

- Reads work orders and specifications to determine tasks and priorities; may initiate work orders to track verbal and in-person maintenance requests in the work order system
- Reads blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems
- Troubleshoots, maintains, and performs repair of facility equipment, including boilers, pumps and pumping systems, CNC machining centers, manual CNC machines, cranes and other material handling devices, forklifts and other electrical and pneumatic lifting devices, compressors and air supply systems, HVAC systems, dust removal and filtration systems, hand tools, and other equipment or machinery as required
- Monitors fluid levels and may add/change fluids, including coolant to machines; safely transports and stores used coolant for collection by authorized waste vendor
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Safely and efficiently operate forklift and other material-handling equipment, including scissor lifts or other powered industrial lifts; may operate overhead or jib cranes
- May inventory and requisition parts, equipment, and supplies; may drive a motor vehicle to obtain items not in inventory
- Records data in ERP, CMMS, and/or other electronic storage
- Uses cleaners, solvents, abrasives, power and hand tools, adhesives, lubricants, and other solutions to clean and repair equipment
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area; returns tools and equipment to appropriate storage areas when not in use
- Follows all safety policies and procedures; consistently utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE); attends and participates actively in safety training; may participate in safety committee activities
- Communicates verbally (English) and follows verbal and written instructions
- Performs other tasks and/or assignments as required
- Regular on-site attendance at the workplace is required; may travel to alternate sites periodically in support of other facilities as needed
This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):
- An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or
- An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or
- An individual who is granted status as a "protected person"
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar maintenance role is required; relevant apprenticeship or vocational training in industrial maintenance, machine shop, manufacturing technology, or similar program may be considered in lieu of or in combination with paid work experience
Skills and Abilities
- A valid Driver's license and an acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirements
- Forklift experience is preferred; forklift certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained throughout employment
- Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of facility maintenance
- Experience using hand tools and electrical testing equipment
- Small motor repair, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic system repair experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- ERP or Work Order system experience is preferred
- Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills and consistently legible handwriting (English)
