This position is seeking a Level3 (TechIII) Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for performing advanced maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment and systems operating in a refrigeration manufacturing organization. The role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls, and hydraulic systems and involves troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. The technician will work to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of production equipment while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures.

This position works Monday – Friday, eight hours a day with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and make minor modifications to PLC programs, robot programs, and other industrial controls equipment (laser scanners, VFDs, etc.).
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues to ensure optimal operation.
System Installation and Upgrades:
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of new equipment and systems. Electrical panel build experience required.
  • Modify and upgrade existing equipment to enhance performance or accommodate new processes.
Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and training to less experienced technicians and other maintenance staff.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Generate detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and issues encountered.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, troubleshooting and diagnosing automated industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and routinely lift items that typically weigh up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, HVAC, PLC training, robotics training).
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Completion of technical school or apprenticeship.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Understanding of PLC basics and motor controls.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial work platform certification.
  • Lockout/Tagout trained.
  • Physically capable of working in a fast‑paced, stop‑and‑go manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task effectively.
  • Alert, dependable, and safety‑focused.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing material handling or similar industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of parts and materials required for production operations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions in support of a process‑oriented operation.
