Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will diagnose and resolve mechanical and control issues in production machinery using diagrams, sketches, manuals, and manufacturer specifications. You will also be responsible for tearing down, rebuilding, and adjusting machinery and mechanical equipment for optimal performance. This role involves performing facility maintenance tasks, including welding, plumbing, painting, and carpentry, while maintaining facility systems such as lighting, HVAC, and structural components.
Additionally, you will conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, and documentation for production equipment, keeping detailed repair and maintenance logs and tracking downtime for each machine.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and control issues in production machinery.
- Tear down, rebuild, and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
- Perform facility maintenance tasks including welding, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
- Maintain facility systems such as lighting, HVAC, and structural components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, and documentation for production equipment.
- Keep detailed repair and maintenance logs and track downtime for each machine.
- Instruct production teams on proper preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ensure proper use, care, and organization of all tools and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, relays, sensors, and solenoids.
- Troubleshoot basic PLC issues including inputs/outputs, sensors, and ladder logic.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and OSHA safety regulations.
- Strong electrical skills, including reading ladder logic and relay logic.
- Experience with 3-phase motors, wiring, and start-stop switches.
- Skills in hydraulics, photo eyes, conveyors, sensors, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley equipment.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is industrial and can be hot, as it is not climate-controlled. The shift for this role is from Wednesday to Saturday, 10 PM to 8 AM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.34 - $32.34/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
