Job Summary:

Put your mechanical and electrical skills to work keeping a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility running at its best. As a Powerhouse Technician, you’ll troubleshoot and maintain critical utility and industrial systems, tackle a variety of hands-on challenges, and build your expertise while playing an important role in keeping Columbus Forge operations running safely and reliably.

This is a Weekend Night Shift position:
Friday – Sunday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical utility systems, including steam and condensate, compressed air, cooling water, chillers, cooling towers, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid systems, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment, including substations, breakers, motor control centers, starters, variable frequency drives, motors, transformers, and bus systems.
• Read and work from blueprints, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and control schematics to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, inspection equipment, and other machinery to service and repair equipment safely and according to established methods and specifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records, communicate findings, coordinate with the stockroom for needed parts, and identify follow-up actions or repairs.
• Support continuous improvement and workplace organization initiatives while following all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements; complete required training, permits, and certifications as assigned.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a variety of industrial environments, including outdoors, heat, cold, rain, snow, confined spaces, elevated areas, and dirty areas.
• This role requires lifting up to 25 lbs. independently, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work overtime, holidays, and any assigned shift as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of facility utility systems and infrastructure, including electrical distribution, steam and condensate, boilers, chillers, compressed gases, and cooling water systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and electrical or control schematics.
• Experience using maintenance or computerized work-order systems, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly communicate equipment issues, maintenance findings, and repair…
