Minimum Qualifications Position Summary

The Ameri Corps State program is a federally funded grant providing U.S. citizens with the opportunity to serve in their own country. The Georgia 4-H Ameri Corps State member provides 4-H programming directly to youth under the direction of the County Extension Agent. Supervision is also provided by the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator. This includes planning, implementation, and delivery of programming including in-school and after school club meetings, camp, and other 4-H programming delivered in the county as well as volunteer recruitment and transportation of youth.

The member will also assist the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator in collecting required impact data by administering surveys to youth and entering data into provided spreadsheets. Members must comply with Ameri Corps requirements such as monthly reporting, monthly webinars, and other required trainings.

This posting is for an Abbreviated Time serving for 2 months for the period of July 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026. Members are required to log a total of 100 hours, averaging 15 hours/week, depending on start date.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

The successful candidate must exhibit qualities of independent judgment and a passion for service as well as the ability to perform the tasks necessary in planning, developing, and directing educational programs directed erience working with youth a plus.

Physical Demands

Driving, light lifting, occasional work outdoors in adverse climate.
