Minimum Qualifications Position Summary
The Ameri Corps State program is a federally funded grant providing U.S. citizens with the opportunity to serve in their own country. The Georgia 4-H Ameri Corps State member provides 4-H programming directly to youth under the direction of the County Extension Agent. Supervision is also provided by the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator. This includes planning, implementation, and delivery of programming including in-school and after school club meetings, camp, and other 4-H programming delivered in the county as well as volunteer recruitment and transportation of youth.
The member will also assist the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator in collecting impact data by administering surveys to youth and entering data into provided spreadsheets. Members should comply with Ameri Corps guidelines such as monthly reporting, monthly webinars, and other trainings.
This posting is for a part-time member serving for 12 months for the period of July 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026. Members are will log a total of 900 hours, averaging 20 hours/week, depending on start date
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
High school diploma or equivalent. U.S. citizen with proof of citizenship.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
The successful candidate will exhibit qualities of independent judgment and a passion for service as well as the ability to perform the tasks necessary in planning, developing, and directing educational programs directed erience working with youth a plus.
Physical Demands
Driving, light lifting, occasional work outdoors in adverse climate.
