Position Summary

The Coordinator of Embedded Campus Programs is a senior clinician within Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) and reports to the Senior Director of CAPS and the Fontaine Center. This position provides direct clinical services, including individual, group, and crisis counseling, as well as consultation, outreach, and supervision of trainees and staff. The role also leads the development and management of embedded counseling services in academic and campus units, collaborating with university stakeholders to enhance access to care, promote early intervention, and support student mental health and academic success.

This is an 11‑month position, off‑the‑month of June.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology
  • Five years of professional experience
  • Valid state licensure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA‑accredited program
  • Active licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Seven to ten years of experience providing psychological services in a university counseling center or comparable setting
  • Proficiency in independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
  • Capacity to work effectively in a cross‑cultural, interdisciplinary environment
  • Two to five years of experience supervising licensed mental health professionals
  • Two years of experience with program assessment, evaluation, or quality improvement initiatives in higher education or healthcare
  • AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain after hire
  • Experience coordinating embedded or decentralized service delivery models
  • Training or applied experience in community psychology, systems‑level intervention, or prevention science
  • At least one year of experience with telehealth service delivery and integrated care models
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with academic leadership and institutional stakeholders
Responsibilities Clinical Services
  • Provide independent, evidence‑based psychological services, including advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for students with complex mental health conditions
  • Serve as a senior clinical authority for complex, high‑risk student cases, consulting with CAPS leadership, academic administrators, and campus partners
  • Lead clinical decision‑making in situations with significant institutional and risk‑management implications, ensuring adherence to professional standards and university policies
  • Design, implement, and evaluate strategic outreach and prevention initiatives aligned with departmental goals and institutional priorities for student success and wellbeing
  • Act as a primary clinical representative for CAPS in campus initiatives, committees, and task forces related to student wellbeing, crisis response, threat assessment, and institutional mental health strategy
  • Elevate campus‑wide mental health practices by leading policy development, delivering expert consultation, and driving systems‑level improvements for long‑term effectiveness
Embedded Program Coordination and Leadership
  • Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the design, expansion, and sustainability of embedded mental health programs, aligning services with university priorities
  • Lead program design, evaluation, and continuous improvement, including development of outcomes metrics, analysis of utilization data, and reporting for senior leadership
  • Develop, implement, and oversee clinical response protocols for embedded counseling settings, ensuring consistency with CAPS standards while adapting to unit‑specific needs
  • Serve as the primary liaison to senior academic and administrative leadership for embedded programs, advising on service models and resource allocation
