Paratransit Operations Manager - Marietta, GA
Transdev in Marietta, GA is hiring a Paratransit Operations Manager. The role ensures the Dispatch team fills all routes and provides operators with timely instructions and responses. We seek customer‑service oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

- Supervise daily activities of operators and coordinate with supervisors and dispatch personnel.
- Oversee operator scheduling, monitor operations, and coordinate service delivery with superiors.
- Monitor road service and performance metrics (start time, on‑time performance, incidents).
- Work with maintenance to ensure all service requirements are met.
- Assist in accident/incident investigations, including on‑site support for safety and training.
- Respond to customer and driver concerns about no‑shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
- Make hiring decisions for authorized roles, evaluate performance, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Manage vehicle operator emergencies and escalated calls.
- Supervise staff on weekends and evenings.
- Maintain department reports and communication tools.
- Provide training to dispatch personnel.
- Develop the Operations department budget.
- Track, compile, and analyze performance; resolve interdepartmental issues and employee grievances; improve processes and route scheduling.
- Support employees and drivers with internal and external requests.
- Coordinate with safety and training to meet safety goals and directives.
- Prioritize calls based on importance and urgency.
- Assist in developing and communicating standard operating procedures.
- Maintain contact with drivers for updates, delays, or special instructions.
- May operate a vehicle in revenue service when necessary.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
- Minimum 2–3 years of public transportation supervisory experience.
- Experience with paratransit dispatching software and radio dispatch preferred (or road supervision preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of transit regulations and operations.
- Computer literate with intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and independent working skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working with labor unions, including grievances and negotiations.
- High level of problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.
- Long periods sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Indoor and outdoor work, including frequent walking, possibly on uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 lb; lift up to 50 lb with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch near ground level.
- Endure heavy traffic, dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
