The Logistics Assistant Manager works closely with suppliers, transportation partners, and internal teams to maintain accurate records, streamline logistics processes, and support overall warehouse efficiency. This position reports to the Sr. Logistics Manager and may be designated by the CEO. The role is hybrid based out of the White, GA and/or Adairsville, GA warehouse for three days a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time, with up to 20% local travel.
EssentialJob Functions & Responsibilities
- Track project logistics schedules and support internal process execution and reporting activities
- Manage and monitor inbound shipments from factories
- Manage and monitor outbound shipments to customers
- Maintain inventory records and support inventory reconciliation activities for inbound and outbound operations
- Report warehouse incidents and operational concerns to leadership in a timely manner for resolution
- Coordinate delivery schedules based on customer requirements and partner with warehouse teams to support execution
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting for HQ and cross-functional stakeholders
- Support logistics vendor coordination and assist with communications with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers
- Support logistics planning initiatives and provide operational reporting and data insights to assist decision‑making
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management
- 3–5 years of logistics, warehouse, transportation, or supply chain operations experience (including customs, Incoterms, freight forwarding, warehousing, trucking)**
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, professional, team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately and support project schedules and deadlines
- Strong analytical skills – use logical structuring to understand problems and create sustainable solutions
- Well organized and disciplined with time management
- Ability to identify, investigate and solve problems in a timely manner
- Effective verbal and written communication skills – concise and clear
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Adaptable and flexible – priorities change on a daily or hourly basis; can pivot, adjust schedule and take responsibility to lead as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively in additional languages relevant to business operations and supplier interactions
- Warehouse experience
- SAP experience
- MS Office experience
- Stationary: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
- Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
- Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) up to 10 pounds
- Hearing and Speech: frequently communicate with the ability to hear and talk to employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information
- Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
- Climb: occasionally ascend/descend stairs to reach office upper and lower floors
- Travel: up to 20% as needed
