Overview

ALLSTATE TOURS, LLC – Motor Coach Operator

Position responsibilities include the safe and secure operation of the motor coach and other company vehicles, passenger safety, assisting passengers on and off the bus, handling baggage, and collecting fares where applicable.

• Drive motor coaches and other company vehicles as dispatched on regularly scheduled inter-city service runs, nationwide charters, tours, or other trips as required.
• Coordinate with other drivers and company personnel to execute dispatch trips as a cohesive unit; plan trips in advance and communicate effectively during driving duties.
• Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance as directed; fuel as needed and monitor fluid levels and pressures.
• Complete required paperwork legibly and in a timely manner; document hours of service, inspection records, dispatch envelopes, and expense receipts; submit all paperwork by the end of the assignment or the next morning.
• Load/unload baggage and package express items; maintain records and report any overage/shortage to supervisory personnel.
• Attend driver and safety meetings as directed by the supervisor.
• Provide courteous, professional service to passengers, company personnel, and others associated with the work; work as part of a team with other company personnel.

• Possess and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brakes and Passenger endorsement.
• Possess and maintain a current DOT physical; maintain a driving record free of major traffic citations and major at-fault accidents.
• Minimum acceptable for driving 45’+ motor coaches on public highways and private property in all weather conditions; knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
• Knowledge of US Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). pertaining to driving Commercial Vehicles.
• Ability to load/unload baggage and package express by hand up to weights permissible by tariffs.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently; ability to speak foreign languages is helpful.
• Maintain basic math skills; ability to complete paperwork legibly and neatly.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass drug testing and physical; must be 21 years or older to drive interstate.

• Experience:
  
  3 years of commercial driving experience; some companies will train.
• Salary:
  Negotiable.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent; no degree required.
• Other requirements:
  Ability to work flexible hours and be available for extended trips.
