Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums OB Hospitalist to join a collaborative and supportive obstetrics team in Athens, Ohio.

This role offers 24-hour shifts with flexible scheduling designed to promote work-life balance. The OBHospitalist will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care,including management of inpatient, emergency, and triage patients, ensuring continuity, quality, and safety across all aspects of care.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 24-hour shifts; flexible scheduling for work-life balance
• Coverage: 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Setting: Inpatient and Emergency Department
• Team Structure: Collaborate with community OBs in a cohesive, multidisciplinary environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-house coverage for labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and gynecologic emergencies
• Manage OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Collaborate with community obstetricians to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
• Communicate in real time with office physicians regarding triage visits, new issues, and deliveries
• Participate in multidisciplinary OB critical care efforts to optimize outcomes
• Utilize best practices to enhance patient safety, improve outcomes, and reduce costs
• Ensure accurate documentation and continuity of care across the patient's treatment journey

Requirements:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN ( Board Eligible not accepted )
• Active Ohio medical license, or eligibility through the IMLC compact
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical OB/GYN experience
