- Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Athens, Ohio, and play a vital role in delivering exceptional obstetric and gynecologic inpatient care. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Whether providing OB triage, inpatient admissions, or managing emergencies, you will be at the forefront of a cohesive, community-focused program that prioritizes quality, safety, and professional growth.
Skills
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid medical license for Ohio or eligible for licensing
- Proven clinical experience in OB hospitalist services
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and handle obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
- Experience in a hospitalist setting or with obstetric critical care
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary OB units
- Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience working in a rural or community hospital environment
Education and Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- At least 2 years of practical experience in OB hospitalist roles
- Active Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Availability to cover 24‑hour shifts with flexible scheduling options
- Willingness to participate in orientation and adhere to hospital policies
- Travel and licensure reimbursement eligibility
- Compliance with all state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and employment
