Job Description
The Department of Athletic Training is seeking a residential 10-month Visiting Professor with a start date of August 1, 2026 (non-tenure track, three-year maximum appointment) to contribute to the delivery of its programming. The department houses robust programs for over 100 students, including a Master of Science in Athletic Training, an online Doctor of Athletic Training program, and a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Residency in Pediatrics.
The Department also offers an undergraduate certificate in performing arts health and wellness open to all students and a graduate certificate in performing arts medicine for healthcare providers. The department also delivers four undergraduate courses to students enrolled in the Pre-AT program.
The department is seeking a student-friendly colleague with athletic training clinical experience and teaching experience. The department is collegial with respect to course offerings, and the specific course load will be based on the candidate's strengths and the needs of the department. The candidate is expected to participate in service to the school, college, and university, as well as student advising.
We anticipate that this position will be 70% teaching, 20% clinical, and 10% service, but this is negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications
* Earned Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
* Credentialed by the Board of Certification as an athletic trainer.
* Eligible for Ohio Licensure as an athletic trainer.
* At least 3 years of athletic training clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior teaching experience.
* Earned doctorate in athletic training or related field.
* Prior experience in student recruitment and retention, and fostering of academic and/or community partnerships.
Department Athletic Training Pay Rate
Commensurate with education and experience.
