Driving School Instructor Part-Time

Job Summary

Join AAA Driving School as a Part‑time Driver Training Instructor. We deliver in‑depth training and support for new instructors while valuing the experience of licensed professionals who are ready to put their skills to work with a trusted organization.

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Flexible Scheduling – Part‑time (20–28 hours per week). Available for at least 4.5 hours across both day and evening hours. Weekend availability required: one full 8‑hour shift or two 4.5‑hour shifts across both weekend days. Weekly schedules may vary depending on student demand.

• Deliver behind‑the‑wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA’s curriculum and training standards.
• Use our driving school software to track and manage student progress.
• Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance.
• Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain all required state documentation.

• Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry.
• Confidence working with the public, especially teens.
• A strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits.
• Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Capability to safely assume control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
• Must obtain a state‑issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV‑required physical exam.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
