Instructor, English – Part‑time (Non‑tenure track) – POOL POSTING
We are accepting resumes/CVs for potential openings in the Department of English for the Fall 2026 semester and the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions are part‑time, non‑tenure track, non‑benefits eligible instructor positions at the Athens campus. The need for these positions is undetermined and dependent on operational need. Applicants will be considered to fill positions as they become available.
ResponsibilitiesThe instructor will teach first‑year and/or advanced composition or another writing or literature course as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- MA in English, or minimally a master’s degree and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline‑relevant graduate coursework by start date of appointment.
- Experience with teaching of writing.
- Previous experience teaching English courses at Ohio University.
Pay is set according to college approved rates. The position is eligible for sick leave and retirement.
