We are accepting resumes/CVs for potential openings in the Department of English for the Fall 2026 semester and the academic year. Applications to this pool will be considered to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor positions at the Athens campus. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing.

Evidence of teaching effectiveness should be combined as one document and uploaded under the document type of "Other". Good evidence of teaching effectiveness would include a syllabus and corresponding set of course evaluations, if available.

The English department is seeking applicants for a part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible instructor position at the Athens campus for the Fall 2026 semester and the academic year. The instructor will teach first-year and/or advanced composition or another writing or literature course as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications - MA in English, or minimally a master's degree and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline relevant graduate course work by start date of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with teaching of writing. Previous experience teaching English courses at Ohio University.
Pay is set according to college approved rates. Pay is accompanied by an excellent retirement plan and paid sick time.
