Position Overview:
This part‑time, non‑tenure track instructor position is available at Ohio University’s Athens campus for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Selected candidates will teach large introductory courses or combined undergraduate‑and‑graduate courses, conduct student assessment, and may teach a lab.
- Teach courses as assigned, including large introductory and combined undergraduate/graduate courses.
- Develop and deliver course content, including assessments and labs when required.
- Provide timely feedback and grading of student work.
- Maintain accurate and organized teaching records.
- Minimum:
Master’s degree in Geography or a related field and relevant teaching experience. - Preferred:
PhD in Geography and an established record of teaching.
- Pay set according to college-approved rates.
- Eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.
