The Department of Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, and Consumer Science seek adjunct instructors for multiple courses, for courses taught in the Coaching, Health & Physical Education degrees. To apply, please complete the online application and upload required documents including resume/CV, detailed letter of interest, and a document outlining your availability to teach for fall semester [August 24, 2026 - December 12, 2026], spring semester [January 11, 2027 - April 30, 2027], and summer 1, 2, full semester [May 10, 2027 - August 14, 2027].
Please also include a list of at least 3 professional references with current contact information. The need for these positions is undetermined currently and is dependent on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. We are seeking candidates with a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds. The successful candidate will teach online and/or in-person courses based on department needs.
Applications will be accepted into the pool on an ongoing basis through 05/11/2027.
This position is eligible for the following benefits:

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in an appropriate discipline to teach undergraduate courses and facilitator roles within the graduate master's level courses;
Terminal degree (Ph. D or Ed.D.) to teach graduate courses. Evidence of teaching experience (either online or in-person).
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates should have an educational background related to Coaching and/or Health & Physical Education with professional experience working as a coach and/or physical education teacher. Evidence of teaching experience at a Higher Education institution (either online or in-person). Familiarity with subject areas such as performance and conditioning for athletic coaches, injury prevention and risk management, elite athlete coaching, youth & sport coaching, soccer player development, motor learning, techniques and tactics in sport.
