Job Description

The Ohio University Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences invites applications for a full-time, in-person, Visiting Professor position on the Athens campus beginning approximately August 16, 2026. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment for the  academic year and may be extended up to a maximum of 3 years depending on funding and departmental need.

Primary responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate instruction, with a typical teaching load of 8 courses per academic year. Teaching assignments will include quantity foods and food service management coursework as well as other nutrition courses. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the Atrium Café, a department-run café located in Grover Center, which serves as a unique experiential learning environment for students.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Nutrition or related field and a minimum of 7 years of related experience in accordance with policy 18.001 | Ohio University;
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Preferred Qualifications

PhD preferred or equivalent years of experience will be considered.

Department Food and Nutrition Sciences Pay Rate

Commensurate with education and experience.
