Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Tenure Track) Diabetes Mellitus and Cardiometabolic Disorders
The Diabetes Institute (DI) within the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM) at Ohio University is undergoing a targeted expansion to complement and strengthen its research portfolio. As part of this growth, DI/HCOM is seeking applications for three research-intensive, full-time (academic year) tenured or tenure-track faculty members at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We welcome applications from individuals as well as teams with complementary skills and expertise, including scientists at all career stages—from early career to senior investigators.
Endowment opportunities may be awarded to exceptional candidates with an established record of clinical and translational research excellence.
Faculty in these positions will be provided substantial protected research time (negotiable for up to 80% FTE), competitive startup packages and access to Ohio University's expanding research infrastructure. Selected candidates will join a group of active, extramurally funded investigators within the Ohio University Diabetes Institute whose research focuses on metabolism, nutrition and cardiometabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and associated metabolic disorders.
The mission of the DI extends beyond research and is to improve the quality of life for those affected by diabetes and related diseases through not only innovative basic and applied research, but also progressive patient care, education, and community outreach.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Terminal Degree: D.O., M.D., PhD., or equivalent
- Research expertise in cardiometabolic disease
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engagement in clinical and translational research with current extramural funding
Salary is commensurate with rank, experience and credentials.
