Senior Admissions Advisor

Ohio University is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven professional to serve as a Senior Admissions Advisor, playing a key role in advancing undergraduate recruitment and enrollment goals. This position will guide prospective students and families through the admissions process, applying deep knowledge of academic programs, policies, and student services to support informed decision-making. Through a combination of strategic outreach, personalized engagement, and data-informed decision-making, you will directly influence enrollment outcomes and the overall student experience.

As a leader within the Online, Transfer & Credit Services Center, the Senior Admissions Advisor will manage recruitment strategy for assigned territories or populations, including planning and executing outreach, travel, and engagement initiatives. This position will represent Ohio University at high-impact events, build and sustain strong relationships with students, families, school counselors, and community partners, and translate institutional strengths into compelling, student-centered messaging.

In addition to evaluating applications and contributing to admission decisions, the Senior Admissions Advisor will help ensure consistency and quality in the review process while navigating complex and nuanced applicant scenarios with confidence.

The Senior Admissions Advisor leverages recruitment and enrollment data to refine outreach strategies, contributes to team and office initiatives, and serves as a resource to colleagues by mentoring new staff and supporting student employees. This role is ideal for a strategic and self-directed professional who is passionate about higher education, thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment, enjoys balancing independent work with collaboration, and is motivated to make a measurable impact.

The Senior Admissions Advisor is mapped to Pay Grade CA&P 15 at Ohio, with a target hiring range of $45,837 – $51,377. The exact starting salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally. In addition to a competitive approach to salary, Ohio University is proud to offer a robust healthcare plan that includes maternity care, transgender care, counseling and mental healthcare, prescription coverage, vision, dental, orthodontia care, and more.

Our robust benefits package also includes paid holidays, sick time, personal time, a tuition waiver up to 100% for self and dependents, an excellent retirement plan with up to a 14% employer contribution, a 12-week parental leave program, adoption reimbursement, flextime and flexplace policies, an employee assistance program, access to professional development programs, wellbeing incentive programs, and additional employee resources.
