Driving School Instructor

Auto Club Driving Schools Inc seeks a part-time Driving School Instructor to teach safe, responsible driving to new drivers. In this field-based role, you'll lead classroom lessons on traffic laws, road signs, and defensive driving, and provide behind-the-wheel coaching to teen and adult students. You will assess skills, give clear feedback, and document progress while maintaining strict safety standards. Instructors model patience, professionalism, and strong communication, helping students build confidence and prepare for licensing exams and lifelong safe driving habits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom lessons on traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices
• Provide behind-the-wheel instruction to teen and adult learners
• Demonstrate and coach defensive driving techniques and hazard awareness
• Assess student skills and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Document student progress and maintain accurate training records
• Communicate professionally with students and parents/guardians
• Follow all state regulations and school safety policies
• Maintain training vehicle in clean, safe operating condition
• Adapt teaching style to different learning needs and experience levels
• Support a culture of patience, professionalism, and road safety
