Job Description Summary
Department Summary
- The Rural Justice Pathway Program Coordinator will coordinate transportation and assign high schools to Fellows; coordinate with Admissions about recruiting HS students; ensure that Fellows take their professional development in a timely fashion (Internships;
Pre-Law Mentorship Program; Law Clinics: Rural Justice Lab; and LSATP Preparation and Law School Application Support). They will assign mentors and internships with feedback from the Co-directors, as needed. They will work closely on program evaluation and ensure that reports are produced in a timely fashion. They will keep track of the overall workplan and call meetings monthly in the first year and semesterly thereafter.
Position Profile
- Designs, conducts, markets, and supports community educational programs. Researches community educational needs and interests and develops educational programs and material in line with community needs. Organizes educational workshops for University and local communities.
Level Summary
- Performs professional-level work that involves basic, operational problem-solving. Independently resolves day-to-day issues and executes clearly defined tasks. Provides data analysis and informational insights to support decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None; may assist with training student employees.
Fiscal Responsibilities
- No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions.
Problem Solving
- Solves routine problems with defined processes and guidance.
Independence of Action
- Works under close supervision.
Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborates with peers and follows guidance from supervisor.
Physical Requirements
- This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and less than 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications - M.A. in relevant social sciences or other field, and/or experience in program administration or evaluation.

- The starting salary range is $19.38 per hour up to $24.70 dependent on education, skills, and prior experience.
