Collaborate with departments and external clients of the university to coordinate audio needs of events and activities.
Create, oversee, and maintain audio for productions in Baker University Center, Memorial Auditorium, Galbreath Chapel, and Walter Hall Rotunda.
Advance event needs with touring productions in coordination with the Technical Director.
Advise student organizations, departments, and external clients on audio capabilities and required formats for playback media.
Schedule and oversee contract labor for assigned events.
Provide technical expertise and client support. Serve as system tech for large touring productions including the Performing Arts Series and Concert Series.
Operate and configure audio equipment to record, mix, edit, and synchronize sound for live and video production.
Serve as system tech for touring concerts and productions on L'Acoustics Kara, JBL, Meyer, EAW and QSC PA systems.
Operate and maintain Dante networked audio systems and coordinate wireless microphone/IEM systems within Event Services spaces.
Plan and supervise the set-up, operation and teardown of event production needs including audio, lighting, video, and staging as needed.
Train professional and student staff on installed equipment utilization.
This individual must be able to work smoothly in a fast-paced event environment with frequent interruptions and have a high level of emotional intelligence.
Position Profile
Provides services related to the production and performance of fine and performing arts. Designs and fabricates artistic displays, scenery or costumes. Performs or oversees practical, mechanical, or industrial activities, including but not limited to: designing and organizing light, sound, and other electronic scenes for artistic performances or exhibitions: designing and fabricating artwork involving carpentry, ceramics, sculpting, welding, costume crafting, etc., maintaining related equipment: and ensuring shop/studio safety.
Organizes exhibitions, performances, and events. May also involve teaching or training students in artistic practices.
Level Summary
Manages and resolves complex and ambiguous issues. Works on both strategic and operational challenges, addressing problems that require advanced knowledge and experience. Often takes on leadership roles in projects or initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides mentorship and guidance to team. Infrequently has a limited number of direct reports.

Physical Requirements
This job requires travel between event spaces to oversee events and student employee management. This role also has desk-based elements and involves use of desktop computers and other desk-based technolog
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
