Job Description
Summary:
This position is responsible for the education of residents to include: development of educational programs, weekly meetings, and co-counseling of patients with resident students. The Behavior Scientist serves as consultant and referral, either personally or for community referral information. He/She also coordinates Medical Education retreat programs at all Ohio Health Hospitals. Requires specialized depth of expertise in behavioral health achieved through practice and doctoral degree qualifications, interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve system delivery of behavioral care
70% Offers Resident Education to include but not be limited to:
Developing educational programs, meeting with residents weekly, co-counsel patients with residents as part of education. Serves as a consultant and referral, either personally or for community referral information. Coordinates Medical Education retreat programs at all Ohio Health Hospitals. 15% Works closely with patients 5%
Performs Support Services 10% Participates in hospital and community committees for education and recruitment programs.
