Industry Engagement Manager
Position within the Russ College of Engineering and Technology Dean’s office. Reports to the Associate Dean for Industry Partnerships and Outreach. Responsible for overseeing industry partnership programs, managing budgets, evaluating program performance, and collaborating with university units and external partners.
Responsibilities- Oversee designated research program, center, or facility and related activities.
- Manage assigned budget and financial responsibilities.
- Evaluate program performance and provide strategic recommendations.
- Represent program to internal and external contacts.
- Collaborate with university schools, departments, units regarding program goals.
- Possibly manage staff, monitor compliance, and review research protocols.
- Mentor or train new employees as needed.
- Validate transactions and handle a variety of problems with some independence.
- Collaborate with team members and share knowledge.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience. - Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Engineering Management, Higher Education Administration, or related field. - Experience managing federally or industry‑funded grants, particularly in STEM education, workforce development, or advanced manufacturing.
- Demonstrated project management across multi‑institutional or cross‑sector partnerships.
- Familiarity with semiconductor industry, advanced manufacturing, or engineering education ecosystems.
- Ability to develop, write, and secure external funding (grants, contracts, philanthropic support).
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting tied to grant deliverables.
- Strong background in budget tracking and financial oversight for sponsored projects.
- Experience in higher education environment with units such as enrollment management, financial aid, institutional research, and communications.
- Proficiency with project management tools and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel regionally.

Pay range: $51,281.00–$85,325.00 (Pay Grade 17). Full‑time, exempt, at‑will appointment.
