Assistant Director for Application Management
Ohio University is seeking a detail-oriented professional to serve as Assistant Director for Application Management, playing a critical role in the review and release of admission decisions for more than 40,000 undergraduate applications annually across all Ohio University campuses. This highly collaborative position will help shape and oversee complex application review workflows, decision release processes, and post-admission operations that directly support the University's enrollment goals and student experience.
Working closely with Undergraduate Admissions leadership, this role combines operational strategy, process management, and data-informed decision-making.
As a key member of the application management team, the assistant director will guide the day-to-day coordination of application review and admissions decision processes while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with institutional policies and practices. The position will collaborate across Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment Marketing and Operations, and university admitting centers to refine workflows, improve processes, and support strategic enrollment initiatives. This role also serves as a subject matter expert for holistic application review, providing training, guidance, and operational leadership to staff and review teams while helping to manage nuanced applicant scenarios, appeals, and post-admission processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, managing and assessing workflows and process. Previous experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems. Experience with admission application file review. Established organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Strong interpersonal and written communication and public speaking skills. Effective data analysis and troubleshooting skills. The incumbent is able to represent the University in a professional and positive manner and abide by the National Association for College Admission Counseling's Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission.
Ability to pass background checks, university judiciary review, and regular driving history audits.
