Job Overview

Kimes Nursing and Rehab (located in Athens, Ohio) is searching for an
* INTERIM* and LICENSED LNHA (Executive Director) to oversee operations within their long‑term care facility. They are seeking an INTERIM leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values team development, and is committed to delivering exceptional resident care and operational excellence. Primary Areas of Responsibility
  • Direct overall facility operations and daily management functions
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Ability to quickly assess facility operations and implement corrective action plans
  • Experience leading facilities through regulatory surveys, staffing stabilization, and census recovery
  • Ability to partner with corporate leadership during leadership transitions
  • Willingness to travel and/or reside locally for the duration of the interim assignment (if applicable)
  • Lead department managers and promote a strong team culture
  • Monitor clinical, financial, and operational performance indicators
  • Support census development and community relationship building
  • Maintain focus on resident satisfaction, quality outcomes, and employee engagement
  • Develop and implement strategic operational improvements as needed
  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure the delivery of high‑quality nursing home services aligned with organizational goals
  • Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and community partners to enhance resident satisfaction and community engagement.
What We’re Looking For
  • Current LICENSED Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license
  • Previous leadership experience within a skilled nursing facility
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator license in Ohio or eligibility for Ohio licensure.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing home administration experience, with a proven record of operational success.
  • Previous interim leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, reimbursement, survey processes, and quality measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational, clinical, and financial outcomes.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a skilled nursing environment.
  • Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Hands‑on leadership style with a commitment to resident‑centered care and staff development.
  • Experience managing through regulatory surveys, staffing challenges, and performance improvement initiatives.
