MIG Welder​/Entry-Level Machinist

Job Opportunity

A custom precision machine shop in Athens County is seeking a motivated, reliable entry-level candidate with MIG welding experience to join their team. Recent graduates from vocational or technical programs are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of custom and precision components
• Operate or assist with operating manual lathes (training provided if needed)
• Support machining, fabrication, and shop production tasks as assigned
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

This is a direct-hire, full-time position hiring immediately. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay is competitive and will grow with the candidate as they learn and are trained. This employer has PTO, paid holidays, and health insurance is available.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience required (school-based or professional)
• Experience with manual lathes is a plus; willing to train the right candidate
• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
