Associate Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving
The Associate Director of Leadership Annual Giving plans and executes cadence-based annual giving outreach that prioritizes consistent, proactive donor engagement on behalf of Ohio University, ensuring deeper alumni and donor relationships that advance the University's mission and long-term growth by building and strengthening the donor pipeline. The Associate Director regularly conducts both in-person and virtual donor visits and attends events to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors at the leadership annual giving level.
The Associate Director contributes professional expertise to daily operations and larger cross-unit initiatives, collaborates closely with colleagues, and supports stewardship and recognition efforts while independently solving routine challenges, providing excellent customer service, and validating transactions as needed.
Position Profile
- Plans and executes the University's campaign for annual gift support from all constituents, including alumni. Provides support in stewardship and recognition efforts for annual fund donors. Cultivates relationships with alumni, donors, foundations, and corporations to support the University's mission. Ensures the University has the resources necessary for growth and engages the community to advance its long-term goals.
Level Summary
- Provides professional expertise to the University community. Serves as a resource and guide to others in the department and/or university. Completes operational tasks essential for the daily functioning of the University. Additionally, contributes to larger projects or initiatives that align with department or University goals, often collaborating across teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in donor identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud, or similar) and ability to use data to prioritize outreach and track progress.
Pay Rate
- Target hiring range for this role is $51,281 to $67,947 and the final offer will be commensurate with the candidate's education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position.
