Assistant Vice President, Advancement Communications and Marketing

Ohio University is hiring an Assistant Vice President, Advancement Communications and Marketing. This role leads and manages the Division of Advancement's marketing and communications efforts, aligns Advancement branding with the university brand, and drives strategic communications supporting fundraising, alumni engagement, and a comprehensive campaign. The position includes executive communication support, oversight of integrated marketing strategies, collaboration with internal and external partners, and staff supervision.

• Lead development and execution of comprehensive communications and marketing plans supporting University Advancement's strategic goals and campaigns.
• Oversee marketing strategies for fundraising initiatives, alumni events, and annual giving programs.
• Ensure Advancement's brand identity aligns with Ohio University's overall brand and work closely with University Communications and Marketing.
• Provide executive communications and crisis management support for Advancement leadership.
• Manage a team dedicated to communications and marketing efforts within the Division of Advancement.
• Requires a Master’s degree, 10+ years of related professional experience, and 7+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Experience with strategic marketing, brand development, crisis management, and multiple distribution channels expected.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communications and managing high-performing teams.
• Salary range: $95,101 to $163,086, with additional benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, and retirement plans.
• Reports to the Vice President for University Advancement and collaborates widely within the university and with external partners.
