Job Summary

- Kimes Nursing and Rehab is hiring REGISTERED Nurses (RNs)! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate NURSES (RNs) to join our team as a Charge Nurse for the day shift (6am to 6pm) and night shift (6p to 6a).In this role, you will oversee patient care, manage nursing staff, and ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care during their stay.

You will be responsible for coordinating with healthcare professionals, administering medications, and providing support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities during the dayshift.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions.
  • Provide IV infusion therapy and manage catheter care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication regarding patient needs.
  • Assist in triage and emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize care
Requirements
  • Valid RN license in the state of Ohio
  • Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Point Click Care.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques
  • Ability to perform essential nursing skills including venipuncture, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on dignity and respect for all individuals.

Qualifications Working Conditions
  • Works in office area(s) as well as throughout the nursing service area (i.e., drug rooms, nurses’ stations, resident rooms, etc.).
  • Moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
  • Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
  • Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department directors.
  • Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. On call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
