CATS Late Night Staff are expected to assist with events.

This position will also include dispatch duties as well as vehicle washing and cleaning

and Cat Cab/Mobility Service.

Student driver duties may include the following:

1. Operates transportation services for students, faculty/staff of Ohio University to include scheduled university routes, on-demand transportation resources, accessibility transport & special event accommodations.

2. Provides superior customer service and safe, efficient transport to customers with adherence to all university, state, and federal laws and regulations. Performs routine vehicle inspection activities and maintains proper transportation documentation to ensure compliance with all position requirements.

3. Assists with transportation dispatching and ride request scheduling as needed based on transportation request demand utilizing scheduling software to meet campus transportation needs.

4. Responsible for cleaning, inspecting and general maintenance duties associated with university fleet to include washing and fueling of vehicles.

This positions focus is to provide excellent customer service and safe, efficient and reliable transport to customers with adherence to all university, state and federal laws and regulations.

Position will be required to work with scheduling software at times and should have a exhibit a willingness to learn new technologies.

Training in each vehicle type will be provided. Position is contingent upon passing all aspects of departmental driver training course.

Job Profile

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

Ensures parking rules and regulations are followed on campus by monitoring parking lots, issuing citations, and assisting students and staff with parking-related inquiries or concerns. Assists with special event parking.

Level Summary

Performs basic tasks and assists with administrative or operational duties under supervision. Roles are entry-level and aimed at providing exposure to workplace environments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Limited supervisory responsibilities. May supervise other student workers.

Fiscal Responsibilities:

No budgetary responsibility.

Problem Solving:

Addresses routine, well-defined problems under supervision.

Independence of Action:

Works under close supervision.

Communication and

Collaboration:

Communicates primarily with supervisor and peers. Collaborates with team members to accomplish tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled for classes at Ohio University, Hocking College, another post-secondary education institution, or a secondary school during the current semester, immediate previous semester, or immediate upcoming semester. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines. Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools. Departments may have specific minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

* Must have valid United States Class D license with demonstrated safe driving record.

* Minimum of 1 year of applicable experience.

* Must be flexible with work hours.

* Positive & professional attitude with good customer service and communication abilities.

* Good time management skills.

* Have a good record of being dependable and punctual at work and school.

Working Condition/Physical Demands:

This role is primarily driving t able to to drive for 6 hours.

Department Transportation & Parking Pay Rate

$12.00/hr
