School Secretary
Under the direction of the Principal and Vice Principal, provide reception, clerical, and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the campus office. Serve as a primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors while working directly with campus administrators to support daily school operations.
Education:
High school diploma or GED

Skills:

- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
- Ability to use software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases and do word processing
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills

Experience:
Administrative Assistant/Clerical Experience (preferred)
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reception and Phones
- Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
- Greet and direct campus visitors.
- Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
- Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
- Prepare and distribute student identification cards, bus passes, and parking stickers.
- Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
- Administrative Support
- Work directly with the Principal and Vice Principal to support daily campus operations and administrative needs.
- Assist administrators with scheduling appointments, meetings, and campus activities.
- Provide clerical and organizational support for campus programs, events, and communications.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents as assigned by administrators.
- Maintain calendars, records, and files for campus administration as needed.

- Provide clerical assistance as needed including assisting with the scheduling of appointments.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Essential Function Regular Attendance Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Employees must be able to consistently report to work as scheduled, maintain an established work schedule, and perform assigned duties during all scheduled work hours. Non-exempt employees are expected to adhere to assigned work schedules, accurately record time worked, and obtain required approval for absences, tardiness, schedule changes, overtime, or early departures.
Reliable attendance is necessary to ensure the effective delivery of services, continuity of operations, safety and supervision of students, collaboration with colleagues, and fulfillment of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
