Job Description - RN Charge-Oncology - PT )
Starr Athens Regional Medical Center
Responsibilities- Ensures availability of adequate, clean and functional supplies and equipment.
- Checks Crash Cart as needed.
- Complies with Universal Precautions.
- Adheres to SRMC EOC plans / knowledge of each plan.
EOC=Environment of Care
Monitors and directs utilization of resources related to care of the patient- Accurately charges for supplies, equipment and procedures.
- Documents in a concise, accurate and timely manner. (Consistent with Oncology P&P)
- Checks in and out at time clock in compliance with hospital policy.
- Attendance per Administrative P&P.
- Plans and directs patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Assesses/Reassesses patients according to policy.
- Implements physician orders according to policy.
- Plans and provides nursing care according to SRMC standards of care.
- Administers medication accurately on all age levels served by this department (18 years and older).
- Patient care activities provided according to hospital policy and procedure.
- Evaluates patients’ response to care provided.
- Communicates appropriately with patient, family, physicians, outside agencies and other departments as well as EC co-workers.

- Forms used to document specialized components of patient care: COBRA, Patient Education, Discharge Instructions, Addendum sheet
- Demonstrates and promotes professionalism.

Medication Administration / Evaluation of affect
QualificationsTN RN license, BLS, and excellent IV skills are required.
Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience preferred.
