Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift geriatric psychiatric unit requiring dementia patient care experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or compact)
• BLS certification required
• HWC certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required experience caring for dementia patients
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start with results required before starting
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

  Inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit within an acute care hospital
• 24-bed unit with a 1:7 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Geriatric patient population (age 50+) with dementia and behavioral disturbances
• Uses Medhost EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, totaling 24 weekend hours
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances
• Work within a calm, team-oriented environment requiring strong interpersonal skills
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• Solid color scrubs required
• Facial piercings are not permitted
• 13-week assignment length
